American Oak Whisky Barrel Shavings - 100gr

These highly aromatic premium barrel shavings are carved by an artisan Scottish cooper from the inner layer of our freshly decanted Limeburners American Oak Whisky barrels. Whether used for colour impartation, flavour enhancement, or for a truly unique food smoking medium, they will provide a touch of class and our world award winning formula to whatever you do.

 
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: For soaking, steep 10-20g of shavings per litre of spirit, for 48 hours minimum. We suggest you experiment with the quantity and duration to achieve your desired results. For smoking, use either damp or dry. If damp, soak the shavings in salted water or liquid flavouring of choice for at least 5 minutes, then applied directly to hot coals, placed in a smoker box or foil wrapped and placed on or near the heat source. Smoking should always be done outside in a well-ventilated area with suitable fire management equipment nearby in the event of a flare up.
